  • Money Back Guarantee

Other benefits of video consults and online rehabilitation:

  • No time lost on your rehabilitation
  • No time in a waiting room
  • We can send out equipment if required for your rehabilitation at home
  • Online physiotherapy has been proven just as effective as in-house in many cases.
  • You don’t have to be tech savvy and our systems are secure.

Mandurah Physiotherapy will email you a secure log-in link to access your appointment. Laptops and computers will be able to access the PhysiApp website. Smartphone users should download the PhysiApp for free from the App Store for your phone or visit https://www.physiapp.com/
A doctor’s referral is NOT necessary to see a physiotherapist unless being claimed through workers comp, Medicare, veterans, and motor vehicle injuries.
We will email you a pre-appointment checklist to complete and send back to us. Your physiotherapist will review information to confirm your suitability to a TeleHealth physiotherapy consultation.

Please dress so that you can comfortably exercise and your physiotherapist can see the injury region. Back pain, for example, is best treated wearing a shirt and shorts combination. Shorts for legs. Sleeveless shirts for the upper limb.
Please set up your laptop or computer on a sturdy level surface, ideally with the camera at eye height so we can talk to you initially. A reasonably well-lit room works well. Plus, if you have an area where you could stand or even lie down if needed to do some movements or exercise, that would be ideal.
Yes. But, in our experience, a laptop that isn’t handheld works best. Some of the best TeleHealth appointments work when you have both your laptop and smartphone available. It’s the best of both worlds!
We will call you and continue the consultation via phone if the problem cannot be fixed.
Our Front desk will contact you after the consultation to arrange payment over the phone. Prices start from $49 for existing clients.

Each physiotherapist has set their fees for Telehealth consultations depending upon their experience and special interests. Please contact our admin team for specific details.

Once your TeleHealth consultation has commenced and you or your physiotherapist feels that TeleHealth is unsuitable for your injury management, we will cease the discussion, refund your fee, and recommend what your course of action is best for you.
We are only permitted to provide TeleHealth consultation to Australian clients.
Currently Telehealth is not claimable through your private health or Medicare although these rules are rapidly changing and if you presented your receipt to your private health fund/Medicare, and a good reason as to why you could not attend in person to the clinic, you may be able to obtain a rebate. We have priced out TeleHealth Consultations with this in mind.
Currently, most insurance companies or government departments such as DVA, Medicare and Workcover do not offer coverage for TeleHealth. However, with the increase in TeleHealth during the Coronavirus, this space is changing rapidly.
In our experience, we can successfully treat most conditions using TeleHealth Physiotherapy. Conditions include musculoskeletal, post-operative, educational, workstation ergonomics, injury triage and exercise-based rehabilitation programs.

There is also a significant quantity of physiotherapy research comparing face-to-face versus TeleHealth, which indicates that TeleHealth outcomes are comparable or, in some cases, more effective. Hands on treatment cannot be done by telehealth. However remember this often forms only part of your treatment and there are a range of other techniques and exercise that will give similar results.

In our experience, clients who undertake TeleHealth are more motivated and want to get better. Hence, they do their best to perform their prescribed exercises, etc., which leads to better results. If that sounds like you, TeleHealth Physiotherapy could be the best solution for you!

Similarly to in-clinic physiotherapy, your physiotherapist will recommend specific exercises. At Mandurah Physiotherapy, we use various delivery methods, which include PhysiApp, video demonstrations or a pdf protocol emailed to you. Then it is all over to you to perform your exercise-dose as prescribed by your physiotherapist.

We like to think of exercise as the best feel right drug to build muscle strength, encourage flexibility etc. Plus, exercise doesn’t have all the potential chemical-induced side effects of drug therapy.

As with in-clinic appointments, your physiotherapist may or may not recommend a follow-up consultation dependent on your injury or condition. The purpose of a review consultation includes the evaluation of the effectiveness of the prescribed exercises and advice from the previous consultation. Your review consultation will include a re-assessment of your key signs and symptoms, modification or exercise progression, and resetting of your treatment goals going forwards.
